"If you haven't tried SQR Runner yet, I heartily recommend it. Notepad is a woefully inadequate development environment for writing SQRs as I'm sure you all remember from your class. SQR Runner has an integrated debugger and full help online for coding SQR's. It can show you the code that is contained within the 'included' SQR's and SQC's so you can see what functions are available, and how to call them. It can comment and uncomment blocks of code. It can even do things like collapse chunks of code to make it easier for you to concentrate on the parts of the SQR you are working on. There is also a huge amount of functionality that you should check out for yourself.

Probably my favorite part of SQR Runner has nothing to do with the software, however. Tobias Teschner, the developer of SQR Runner, provides the most responsive support I've ever seen for a product. I've sent numerous emails to Tobias with suggestions, comments, etc. Most of the time, I've gotten responses back within the hour. Several times, he has responded with new versions of SQR Runner that implemented a suggestion I had made. Tobias is committed to providing exactly the product that his customers want/need.

Excellent development tool which lowers development time.
"I have been using SQR Runner for the past year. Before using it, my development environment consisted of a text editor and an SQR icon on the desktop hard-coded for the SQR I was writing.
